THE ONE AND ONLY TAKATITI...

OneGambia Team travels to Janjanbureh to meet the Niamina Dankunku-born actor and traditional communicator, Lamin Keita widely known as Takatiti.

In the interview, Takatiti touches on various subjects including the different Mandinka drumming styles and traditional dancing, the local masquerade known as 'kankurang', a brief history of the Island. He further went on to strengthen his commitment to the revival of the rich African cultural heritage, which is on the brink of extinction.

Takatiti and Kumba of OneGambia. Janjanbureh, January 5th 2008.
